In amongst all that's happening in our lives beneath the surface we often don't see what is in front of us.
After going to GOMA to see the Great Artists I was reminded of the tranquillity & beauty of the simple pool with the amount of life that goes on in that small space. I've enjoyed the process of creating this work as it relates to growing up in the country. Monet's water lilies are inspirational. The shapes of the leaves and how they manage to float. I have experimented with varied art media to create floating lilies.
