This introspection on my life induced by the theme for Shine Loud exhibition has been somewhat difficult for me. I have had an intensive four months of reflections,

sketching and creating this first ever body of work about “me".

I have been asking myself so many questions about my life and my life choices. Who is this second woman in Her and Me? Where does she come from?

If you ask if my dyslexia is a gift or a curse? The answer is it all depends if I am in an elevator and the doors don’t open or if I am happily drawing with both hands enjoy a life model session but some days I feel like a circus animal.

About Daniele Lamarche-Sarvia:

Native French speaker originally from Montreal, Canada Daniele’s formative art years started at fifteen at the Montreal Museum Summer School in a very traditional French methodology.

From a long lineage of visual artists, art curators, archaeologists and fervent explorers, Daniele's works are strong and full of social commentaries that makes her art unique.

Daniele's figurative expressionist style is full of unexpected contrasts. Her original visual stories are remarkably distinctive and flamboyant, and her unorthodox uses of watercolours is wild.

A distinguished visual artist, Daniele has produced several bodies of work and solo shows. She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions in Australia but also where ever she lived throughout the world. She has won prizes, awards, competitions and received several grants and mentions over the years.
