Passion for animals of all types influences art and photography. Ailie has experimented with different forms over time including pencil, pastel, paint and photography. She has a diploma of photo imaging and concentrates her photography on what she calls 'backyard wildlife'. That is, those native species that share our living space. Her photos are often used to create drawings and paintings. She struggles with mental illness ad art is a way of coping with her symptoms.
