Travelling Light is a key work in this exhibition. It responds to my experience of PTSD, a challenging time spent contemplating my life. I revisited the sadness that I had struggled to understand as a child and came to name it 'Pandora's box’; a suitcase within myself that had sprung open, enabling me to acknowledge and process my past. In doing so a clear but gentle light remained, and so emerged Travelling Light, with jasmine, marigolds and a white feather at the bottom of that suitcase symbolising healing, hope and regrowth.
