Art lights up my life.
Here, my expression is of a tree reaching out. I hold out the tips of my branches to the sky, with the things in my life worth keeping, like little gems cradled between the leaves. A strong trunk and roots dig deep into what it important.
About Wendy Meyer
Since I have been attending workshops at AFTM, I’ve enjoyed trying all different types of art mediums to determine what I find the greatest pleasure in. I’ve also taken this experimental approach to broaden my abilities and discover how best to translate my imagination and the ideas in my head into reality.
I particularly love to create artworks that depict nature, sometimes involving found natural materials in my work. The Tree of Life is a symbol I connect with and have worked with in much of my most recent work.
