What a gift of nature the beach is. Never take it for granted. In fact, go there now and jump in the sparkles for me. Get your hair wet, scrub your friend’s back with the sand and lay in the blessings the sunshine brings. Build sand castles with extravagant water portholes and stick bridges with your children: for I no longer can. This is not sad, as I do other things now to fill my soul with happiness. Just know how lucky we are in this world, to have so many positive simple things to enjoy and remember to be happy.

Margaret Schofield

Margaret Schofield is 80 years young and has been painting as a hobby for the past 30 years. Over the years, she has been an enthusiastic and committed artist, exploring her arts practice with the guidance of various tutors, alongside selling many of her paintings in various art exhibitions around Brisbane.

Margaret was employed most of her working life in aged care and is now a resident in aged care home.  Margaret is a highly regarded artist who continues to attend regular art classes at her nursing home.  Margaret has 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
