[About the artist] Alex Crombie-Van Ewyk
Alex’s interests include Japanese ‘Manga’, Ikebana, flower illustration, bonsai and pottery traditions. Her artworks reflect this interest with the use of colour, line and pattern as important elements.
Alex experiences the impact of ASD every day. She continues to learn and practice strategies to help her make sense of the world around her. One major aspect of support for Alex has always been art - as a medium to express herself as well as providing a ‘calm space’ for a busy mind.
Alex’s artwork has been exhibited in Brisbane, at the Sydney Opera House (AART.BOXX) and overseas with ‘eARTh Vision’.
