Our mental health is always changing depending on what life is throwing us. It is good to have our eye on it closely and have a kind relationship with ourselves.

We can feel when we are descending, and this painting is a reminder to love ourselves, especially when life is stacking up.

Spoiling ourselves with simple gifts is good medicine for positive mental health. For me, it is eating food that doesn’t hurt animals and the planet and scootering outdoors looking at greens and blues.

What is yours? Love yourself. Be kind to yourself.

Renata Jayne

Renata Jayne is a born and bred Brisbane artist. She started watercolours with Delwynne Dwyer over 20 years ago and never looked back. Watercolour is her first love, and secondly it is oils. She is currently learning portraiture with Paul Power in Albion.

Renata paints from the heart and likes her work to connect with others and make them think about topics in life.

Renata has exhibited in community art exhibitions. She also communicates important messages to young children through the art of theatre and music as a musician and story teller.
