Pan’s Labyrinth, directed by Guillermo del Toro, was the first dark fantasy film that I watched. It had a profound impact on me. The Pale Man character is the manifestation of the main character’s ugly reality, and he was absolutely grotesque. I'm inspired by the dualism of something so fascinating yet tragic.

My art practice is diverse. I enjoy creating artworks ranging from portraiture to abstract. Inspiration comes from a variety of artists and artistic movements including; Sheet Art, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Modigliani. I like to keep things fresh and unstructured, letting the image evolve on the canvas.

For a long time, faces were difficult for me to read, but now I love them – the stories they tell us, and the secrets they keep.
