Nobody's Home

oil on canvas board
I took inspiration from the video ‘Estranged’ by Guns N’ Roses. I am fascinated by the emotional distress that the song evokes, and wanted to capture the essence of the character who is hiding. It speaks as a metaphor for when you hide from your problems.
About Frazer Campbell
My art practice is diverse. I enjoy creating artworks ranging from portraiture to abstract. Inspiration comes from a variety of artists and artistic movements including; Sheet Art, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Modigliani. I like to keep things fresh and unstructured, letting the image evolve on the canvas.
For a long time, faces were difficult for me to read, but now I love them – the stories they tell us, and the secrets they keep.
Art matters. It is my bridge between where I usually am, and were you are. It helps us meet somewhere in the middle.
