I produced this piece by closing my eyes and making marks on the page. I expanded over the lines drawn. The characters and symbolism depicted in the drawing evolved as I persisted with the mark making process.

About Ethan Herbert

Ethan Herbert is a young artist, who has delved into a range of art processes in the past including screen printing, drawing with artist’s pastels and watercolour pencils.

Presently, he is in learning to work with new mediums and to establish a range of mark making and creative techniques. He is interested in working with clay and modelling products as well as developing his abilities with acrylics on canvas board. Ethan enjoys representing mythical concepts; serendipitous creatures evolve within his work, he lets the creative process flow.
