This is an image about the hospital and everything that goes on there. Interesting things happen there. This image is busy, busy, busy. It’s so busy in the hospital. I decided to put the red on there, because that is what I like.

About David Byrne

I have been practicing as an artist for five years. I have twenty folios of tattoo designs and use these in my compositions mixed with oriental images.

I grew up in Melbourne, and from the age of 7 began collecting stickers. This practice of collecting and assembling stickers has influenced the way I now collage images of my own drawings. I am happy with my art direction and intend on continuing to exhibit in the future.

I have learnt through making my collages, that I need to use bigger and smaller images. I have worked extensively on the koi fish image and hand coloured the image in pencils. This dramatic artwork combines my interest in tattoos and koi fish. My method is a mix of collage and paint. This image is rich and busy, with a lot of energy.
